SHIINE -Senior Health Information and Insurance

The Senior Health Information and Insurance Education (SHIINE) program, funded by the federal government, gives free, unbiased, and confidential information about Medicare. SHIINE has a team of trained staff and volunteers who teach individuals about Medicare, and how to avoid fraud to protect their benefits.

Independent Living Choices

Independent Living Choices (ILC) in Grant County, South Dakota, is a non-profit organization that serves individuals with disabilities, helping them live independently. They offer various services, including advocacy, independent living skills training, and information and referral. ILC is a Center for Independent Living (CIL), meaning they are consumer-controlled, community-based, and provide cross-disability services. 
 

Key Services Offered by ILC:
 

  • Advocacy:

    ILC helps people with disabilities advocate for their rights and needs.

  • Independent Living Skills Training:

    This includes hands-on training in daily living skills like cooking, budgeting, and organizing. ​
